An advanced smart manufacturing project
The award was presented to the project Inim Manufacturing: AI, Robotics, and Integration, ” a structured industrial transformation initiative developed in accordance with the Industry 4.0 and 5.0 paradigms.
The project involved a comprehensive overhaul of the production line at the Inim plant through the implementation of a fully automated and interconnected system. The project includes:
- automated vertical storage systems
- SMT lines with AOI and X-ray inspection
- PTH lines
- advanced testing and programming systems
- assembly, boxing, and packaging lines
- automated high-bay warehouse
All systems are natively integrated with the company’s ERP system and supported by artificial intelligence solutions, which are used for automated technical support, data analysis, batch traceability, and logistics optimization.
Investments, expertise, and measurable results
The production reorganization program required a significant investment in technology, software, and training, accompanied by a major internal restructuring effort.
The project involved cross-functional teams—manufacturing, quality, warehousing, IT, software development, and data analytics—and helped establish an operational model based on continuous improvement and the use of objective data.
The results are already evident:
- +37% improvement in performance and uptime of SMT lines
- First-pass yield improved from 86% to 94%
- -25% reduction in energy consumption
