The Smart Box project aims to develop an innovative building automation system designed to ensure the safety and automation of living spaces. It is built around the concept of integrating devices into spaces—particularly into smart floors and walls—with a strong focus on a home automation market capable of promoting simple, low-cost solutions that are integrated into systems for new construction or building renovation. The project is set against the backdrop of the evolution of home automation toward the Internet of Things (IoT).

Smart Box combines the cross-disciplinary expertise of those who design and create spaces with that of those who develop technologies for home automation and building automation, resulting in a highly innovative solution in the field of future spaces: “Smart spaces refer to built environments such as apartments, offices, museums, hospitals, schools, shopping malls, university campuses, and outdoor areas that are designed to enable the cooperation of smart objects and systems, as well as ubiquitous interaction with visitors.”
