Training, accountability, and putting people first: By joining the Human AI Foundation, Inim is contributing to a project that brings together research and business to promote the responsible use of artificial intelligence.

Inim is one of the founding members of the Human AI Foundation, established in the “ Marche ” to promote artificial intelligence capable of supporting people, enhancing their skills, and guiding businesses in taking advantage of the opportunities offered by this technology. This project fosters dialogue between the world of research and the local business community, with a particular focus on small and medium-sized enterprises, while also aiming to have an international scope. For Inim, being part of this initiative means contributing to a challenge that goes beyond the adoption of new tools—namely, building a culture of innovation in which expertise, critical thinking, and ethics guide technological development.

The founding members of the Foundation are: Inim Electronics of Monteprandone, VRAI Lab of Ancona, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Jesi, Namirial of Senigallia, Diatech Pharmacogenetics of Jesi, APRA of Jesi, Pluservice of Senigallia, and Campetella Robotic Center of Montecassiano.

The Foundation’s presentation was preceded by a roundtable discussion titled “Artificial Intelligence, Democracy, and Inequality,” organized by the University of Macerata, the UNESCO Chair on Artificial Intelligence and Practical Wisdom, and the Human AI Foundation. The event, which drew a large audience of students, featured Pasqualino Ruggieri—Senior Project Manager at Security & Comfort —representing Inim, who shared the company’s experience and the reasons behind its involvement. According to Ruggieri, the starting point is awareness: “The growing spread of artificial intelligence must be accompanied by a greater ability to understand its opportunities, limitations, and risks. For this reason, education in schools, companies, and institutions plays an essential role. Particular attention must be paid to the younger generations. Familiarity with digital tools does not necessarily equate to the ability to evaluate their outcomes. Educating about AI therefore means helping young people use it with a critical mindset, question the results, and maintain independent judgment.”

Inim has already begun using artificial intelligence tools in various areas: from technical support and customer service to quality control and forecasting; from product development to firmware and software programming; and even video analysis, documentation, marketing, and communication. These diverse applications are united by a shared belief: “The value of technology grows when it enhances people’s capabilities.”
In his remarks, Ruggieri emphasized the importance of human oversight. Artificial intelligence can analyze information, identify correlations, and suggest solutions; however, the evaluation and responsibility for decisions remain with people.
From this perspective, ethics must guide decisions from the very beginning, accompanying the design and use of these tools.

Participation in Human AI offers Inim an opportunity to share experiences and contribute to the dialogue between research and business, while promoting greater awareness regarding the use of artificial intelligence. This is the essence of the company’s commitment to the Foundation, as expressed by Pasqualino Ruggieri: “Innovation has value only if it serves people.”
